Cultura.- 'Sal, Mel i Vida' actúa hoy en el Museu de Belles Arts de Castelló dentro del ciclo 'Nits al Claustre'

El Museu de Belles Arts de Castelló acogerá hoy un nuevo espectáculo musical del grupo de música flamenca 'Sal, Mel i Vida' dentro del ciclo 'Nits al Claustre', según informaron fuentes de la Generalitat.
El espectáculo que la formación ofrecerá hoy al público castellonense es una combinación del flamenco "más básico y más rico" a la vez, ya que muestra el "espectador de los diferentes estilos del flamenco clásico y su posterior evolución hacia un nuevo flamenco", indicaron las citadas fuentes, quienes precisaron que el grupo está formado por guitarra, cajón, cantador y bailarina.
La de 'Sal, Mel i Vida' será la sexta propuesta musical de las nueve programadas en la presente edición de 'Nits al Claustre'. Un ciclo de conciertos gratuitos que tienen lugar por tercer año consecutivo las noches de los jueves en verano en el claustro del Museu de Belles Arts de Castelló en la capital de la Plana.
El objetivo de este ciclo de conciertos es "dinamizar la vida cultural" de la ciudad durante el verano convirtiéndose en un "interesante aliciente", ya que, además de su gratuidad, el Museu ofrece el servicio de bar cafetería, señalaron.
"Un reclamo idóneo en un marco perfecto" para que todo aquel que lo desee pueda acercarse al museo y conocer la música de grupos que desde hace ya varios años están trabajando por difundir las diferentes familias musicales que derivan del folk, añadieron.

Sal, Mel I Vida (Comprising of a guitarist, singer, percussionist and a dancer, their performance aims to show 'pure flamenco forms and structures, from the oldest to the very new...'
The guitarist begins the set, followed gradually by the singer and the percussionist on his wine box drum. After a suitable introduction, they are finally joined by the lithe and beautiful dancer. After a song spent clapping and tapping out the flamenco with her feet, she rises and fills the stage with her presence. She is exquisitely feminine but assertive and powerful, dressed in a sleek and elegant version of the traditional flamenco gown.
It is a shame that there is not more information on which forms the songs and dances are showing us, and who the ensemble are, but this a marvellous evening whether you know the background or not. Every member of the group is a vibrant and accomplished performer, and the stage crackles with the energy they produce together. Their love of flamenco, and joy in working together, infuses the haunting and passionate songs, the percussion conversations, the guitar melodies and the dance.
An unforgettable evening; Sal, Mel I Vida richly deserves the two standing ovations they received.

...Oigo cantar flamenco. Los sonidos de las palmas salen de las manos de un grupo catalán, Sal, mel y vida. La leyenda de Carmen cobra vida en los ojos de su bailarina. Unos policías se acercan. No pasa nada. Tan solo contemplan la negra cabellera de la más clásica estampa española...
